Hall of Famer Bill Russell wore these trucks in his last season at the University of San Francisco. In the 1956 season, Russell won his second straight championship (going 29-0), was the WCC Player of the Year, a First-Team All-American, Helms Player of the Year and the UPI College Player of the Year. He entered the NBA Draft in 1956 and was the 2nd overall pick by the St Louis Hawks, but was traded to the Boston Celtics before the season started. In the NBA, Russell would go on to become one of the most successful athletes in North American history with his 11 Championships in 13 seasons. He would also compile 5 NBA MVP’s, was a 12-time All-Star and a 4-time rebounding champion, amongst other accolades. On the inner rear waistband is the “Wilson” manufacturer’s tag. Adjacent below is a white strip tag with “6. RUSSELL” and “36 plus 1” printed in black. Adjacent to the right is the number “34” hand stamped in black. On the bottom of the left leg is the player number “6” in white tackle twill. The trunks are properly tagged, were presented to us as game-used and in our opinion show outstanding use with some minor staining.
