The University of Southern California has a long and proud college football tradition. Known as "Tailback U", USC has produced four Heisman Trophy winners from the tailback position. The Trojans have won five National Championships and have numerous alumni in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. This USC white dureen road jersey was worn by USC Trojan, Johnny Arnett during the 1955-56 college football season. the player number "26" appears on the front and back of the shirt in maroon tackle twill. On the crotch piece is the "Fredericks" label and below is the "Sand-Knit" label. Adjacent to this is the size tag "46". The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
