The 1996-97 Green Bay Packers featured the NFL’s highest-scoring offense (456 pts. scored) and the league’s best defense with (210 pts. allowed). The team won a league-best 13 regular season games and were the top seeded NFC team in the playoffs. Running back Dorsey Levens was a vital part of the team, accounting for 792 all-purpose yards and 8 touchdowns while averaging 4.7 yards per carry. The team cruised through the San Francisco 49ers and the Carolina Panthers on their way to the Super Bowl, defeating both team’s by an average of 19 points. Against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXI, Levens was the Packers' leading rusher, carrying the ball 14 times for 61 yards on the way to a 35-21 victory. It was the franchise’s third Super Bowl, their first in 29 years and a league-record 12th NFL World Championship. This trophy was presented to running back Dorsey Levens after he and his Green Bay Packers teammates defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXI. It is the player’s version of the iconic Vince Lombardi Trophy presented to Championship teams in the NFL. This chrome-plated steel trophy stands 16” tall and weighs nearly 10 lbs. The three-sided base measures approximately 5” on each side, the football atop the base measures approximately 8” x 5” x 5”. The face of the trophy is engraved to read “NFL LOMBARDI TROPHY - SUPER BOWL XXXI CHAMPIONS - GREEN BAY PACKERS” along with an NFL shield medallion in the center. The right panel is engraved to read “DORSEY LEVENS #25”. The underside of the trophy features felt backing which is a fully present. This iconic trophy is in MINT condition.
