This trophy was presented to defensive back/special teams player Elvis “Toast” Patterson after he and his Dallas Cowboys teammates defeated the Buffalo Bills in Super Bowl XXVIII. It is the player’s version of the iconic Vince Lombardi Trophy presented to Championship teams in the NFL. This chrome-plated steel trophy stands 16” tall and weighs over 10 lbs. The three-sided base measures approximately 5” on each side, the football atop the base measures approximately 8” x 5” x 5”. The face of the trophy is engraved to read “VINCE LOMBARDI TROPHY - SUPER BOWL XXVIII CHAMPIONS - THE DALLAS COWBOYS” along with an NFL shield medallion in the center which has been reaffixed. The right panel is engraved to read “ELVIS PATTERSON 43”. There is also a small "59" engraved on the lower right corner of this panel which we believe to be the sequential numbering of the units that were produced. The underside of the trophy features felt backing which is a fully present. This iconic trophy is in fair condition with moderate-heavy tarnishing.
