In his 13-season career, Ozzie Newsome (a.k.a. “The Wizard of Oz”) did not miss a single game; playing in 198 consecutive. He became the leading tight end receiver in NFL history with 662 receptions for 7,980 yards and 47 touchdowns. He was ranked the fourth leading receiver when he retired and in 1999 he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. On the front left tail is the “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag with size “46”. Adjacent above is another tag with “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for CLEVELAND BROWNS”. On the right inseam is the “58% NYLON 42% DURENE” tag with wash instructions. Across the front, on the back and on the left and right sleeve is the player number “82”. Across the back is the player name “NEWSOME” on a white nameplate. All lettering and numbering is done in brown tackle twill. Newsome has signed the right shoulder on the jersey in black marker with the added inscription “82”, in our opinion the signature rates a 7. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA and an additional LOA.
