Coming off a dominating 27-0 win over the Baltimore Colts in the 1964 NFL Championship , the 1965 Cleveland Browns went 11-3 during the regular season and once again played in the NFL Championship game. Hall of Famer Jim Brown won his second NFL MVP award and to the shock of fans everywhere he retired from football to pursue an acting career. This white "Wilson" football has 39 signatures in black pen that rate from 6-9. Signatures include Hall of Famers Jim Brown, Lou "The Toe" Groza, Paul Warfield and Leroy Kelly. Other signers include Jim Garcia, Dick Modzelewski, Vince Costello, Charlie Scales, Walter Beach, Walter Johnson, Jamie Caleb, Frank Ryan and Walter Roberts. The ball itself is in excellent condition with slight cracking and dirt stains on one panel.
