The most exciting football being played in the 1960s was not in the NFL, but in the AFL. Many great players and Hall of Famers began their careers in the AFL including Joe Namath, Bob Griese, Fred Biletnikoff, Bobby Bell, Cliff Branch, Don Maynard and Lance Alworth, just to mention a few. This Spalding AFL "J5-V" football has been signed by 38 players from the 1968 San Diego Chargers. Players such as Hall of Famer Lance Alworth, and other stars like John Hadl and Dickie Post have signed this football in black ball-point pen on all four panels of the football. The signatures range from 4-7s. The ball itself is in VG-EX condition.
