The names are etched in pro football history...Griese, Csonka, Warfield, Buoniconti, Yepremian. Together with 40 other Miami Dolphins, they achieved what no NFL team had ever done before, and what none has done since: compiling a perfect, undefeated record over the course of a single season. Coached by Don Shula, the Dolphins blended a cautious, run-centered offense with a swarming, suffocating "No Name" defense to rout all comers, topping off their historic season by beating the Washington Redskins 14-7 in the Super Bowl. This 21" x 17" wood-framed team photograph of the players, coaches and owner Joe Robbie is preserved under plexiglass and is in near-mint condition with only a few minor scratches. All signatures are on the white area that borders the photo, in black ink, and are clearly readable, rating strong 8s and 9s. This great piece comes with a letter from defensive end Bill Stanfill explaining how it was his original photo and there's no duplicate since two players have since died, another has been in prison, and Jake Scott's signature is extremely rare.
