George McFarland, better known by his nickname “Spanky”, screen-worn top hat from the comedy television series “Our Gang”, which later became known as the “Little Rascals”. On the inner top of the hat is the “DUNLAP & Co.” manufacturer’s stamp. Adjacent below reads “HAL ROACH STUDIOS” which is also stamped on in black. Adjacent below that is “Spanky” stamped in red. A black band runs around the outer base of the hat. The top hat was presented to us as screen-worn and in our opinion shows wear. Accompanied by a letter of provenance.
