These two vests were worn by one member of the sideline "chain-gang" during Super Bowl XXII, and the poor guy probably felt like he was in a real chain-gang by halftime. Considering that the Washington Redskins scored 35 points in the second quarter alone, and amassed over 600 total yards, in their 43-10 blowout of the Denver Broncos on January 31, 1988, the crew that moved the sticks to mark every first down more than earned their pay that day. This unique Super Bowl keepsake may be unsung, but its esoteric quality makes it rarer than most player uniforms. The two nylon vests are identical, with the outer one gray and inner one blue. On the left pocket of each it reads, "Must be worn at Super Bowl XXII, and on the upper right side is the Super Bowl XXII logo over small letting reading "San Diego Jack Murphy Stadium" and the date, which also appear on the back.
