We were told by our consignor that former Yankees 2nd baseman Bobby Richardson helped facilitate obtaining these signatures. “ATHLETIC SUPPLY CO.” manufactured “”ENERGIZED” CENTER LEAGUE BALL” baseball signed by 18 members of the 1962 World Champion New York Yankees and two New York Yankee announcers. Written in blue ballpoint pen is “1962 YANKS”. Notable signatures include Hall of Famers Yogi Berra (ss)(1962 All-Star), Mickey Mantle (ss)(1962 All-Star, AL MVP and Gold Glove CF) and Whitey Ford. Other notable signatures include: Elston Howard (1962 All-Star), Ralph Terry (1962 All-Star and World Series MVP), Bobby Richardson (1962 All-Star and Gold Glove 2B) and Tom Tresh (1962 All-Star and AL Rookie of the Year). Additional signatures include: Clete Boyer, Hector Lopez, Rollie Sheldon, Johnny Blanchard, Bud Daley, Jim Coates, Luis Arroyo, Bill Skowron, Jack Reed and Bob Turley. Also featured on the ball is manager Ralph Houk (CH) and announcers Pee Wee Reese and Dizzy Dean. All signatures are done in blue ballpoint pen, in our opinion the signatures rate a 9 overall. The ball is in NM condition with some toning. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
