We were told by our consignor that the baseball was originally obtained by a family member who worked security at the New York stadiums in the 1960s. “SPALDING” manufactured ONL Giles baseball signed by 23 members of the 1965 World Champion Brooklyn Dodgers. Notable signatures include Hall of Famers Don Drysdale (1965 All-Star) and Sandy Koufax (1965 All-Star, Cy Young, World Series MVP, Triple Crown and threw a perfect game on September 9th of that season). Additional signatures include: Jim Lefebvre (1965 NL Rookie of the Year), Maury Wills (1965 All-Star), Ron Perranoski, Claude Osteen, Jim Gilliam, John Purdin, Bob Miller, Ron Fairly, Al Ferrara, Wes Parker, Jeff Torborg, Hector Valle, John Kennedy, Nick Willhite, Wally Moon, Howie Reed, Johnny Podres and coaches Danny Ozark and Lefty Phillips. All signatures are done in either black or blue ballpoint pen, in our opinion the signatures rate a 7 overall. The ball is in EX-NM condition with some minor scuffs and dirt staining. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
