Manuf: H&B, Model Number: S2, Length: 35 in., Weight: 34.3 oz., Wood: Ash, Labeling Period: 1965–68, Condition: Uncracked. A few ball marks and stitch impressions are visible on the right and back barrel. Also visible on the bat are red and blue bat rack streaks and there is a light coat of pine tar on the mid-handle. The model number “S2” has been stamped into the knob and the weight “34” is written on the knob in pencil. Mays’ number “24” is written on the knob in fading red marker. Mays has signed the front barrel in blue marker and in our opinion the signature rates a 9. The bat exhibits evidence of moderate game-use. Accompanied by a LOA from PSA/DNA grading the bat an 8. Further accompanied by a LOA from JSA for the signature.
