Mint condition yearbooks dating from the team's first season at Shea Stadium ("Home Sweet Home," says the cover of the ‘64 yearbook) to 1979 (no yearbook was printed in 1976). The years from 1966 to 1974 are dominated by Joe Namath. Typical of the team's dashed hopes in the ‘70s is the 1974 book featuring an illustration of the new coach that year and a cover line that reads: "Charley Winner: 1974 Dawns a New Era." Winner, of course, was just another Jets loser, and was gone the next season. The Jets' climb back into the football penthouse two decades later under Bill Parcells gives added meaning to the glory and lost glory in the span of time covered by this set.
