This extremely rare, mint-condition program is a gemstone of history, as it marks the first pro game played by Joe Namath. Fresh out of Alabama, Joe Willie took his first pro snaps for the New York Jets on August 21, 1965 in an exhibition game at Rutgers University that raised funds for the establishment of the College Football Hall of Fame. Of further historical note, his opposite number was the Buffalo Bills' veteran Jack Kemp, who would give up the game for another contact sport, politics. The 32-page, 8" x 10 1/2" program has a color illustration on the cover and shows nearly no signs of wear.
