David Akers has been the Philadelphia Eagles kicker for the past two seasons, and in 2000 Akers kicked an impressive 29 field goals in 33 attempts. In the neck of the jersey is a white label reading "99-50". The numbers denote the year and size, respectively. At the base of the "V" neck is the "NFL" patch and below this is the name "Eagles" in white Swiss embroidered stitch. On the left front tail is the "Puma" label and adjacent is the size tag, "50". Next to this is the "6"LB" label denoting six extra inches in body length. On the back of the jersey is a green nameplate with the name "Akers". The player number "2" appears on the front, back and on each shoulder of the jersey. The letters and numbers are made of white on black tackle twill. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Included with the jersey is a game used helmet. At the time of the production of the auction catalog, the helmet was being reconditioned by the Philadelphia Eagles. Both the jersey and helmet come with a letter of authenticity from the Philadelphia Eagles.
