Mike Mamula of the Philadelphia Eagles, is one of the toughest defensive ends in the NFL. In the neck of the jersey is a white label reading "99-48". The numbers denote the year and size, respectively. At the base of the "V" neck is the "NFL" patch and below this is the name "Eagles" in green Swiss embroidered stitch. On the left front tail is the "Puma" label and adjacent is the size tag, "48". Next to this is the "6LB" label denoting six extra inches in body length. On the back of the jersey is a white nameplate with the name "Mamula". The player number "59" appears on the front, back and on each shoulder of the jersey. The letters and numbers are made of green on black tackle twill. There are several repair marks in the shoulder area. The jersey shows good game use and with the exception of the repair marks, appears to have no other alterations of any kind. Included with the jersey is a game used helmet. At the time of the production of the auction catalog, the helmet was being reconditioned by the Philadelphia Eagles. Both the jersey and helmet come with a letter of authenticity from the Philadelphia Eagles.
