This ball was used by the best relief pitcher of all time Mariano Rivera on September 24, 2004 in a 6-4 victory against the Boston Red Sox where he secured his 51st save of the season. Rivera finished the year with 53 saves, a career high. “Rawlings” manufactured OML Selig baseball signed by Rivera on the sweet spot along with the added inscription “Game Used Save #51 - Yankees 6 Red Sox 4 - 9/24/04”, in our opinion the signature rates a 9. On the east panel is the official MLB logo. On the west panel is a “STEINER” hologram sticker. The ball shows very good signs of game-use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA for the signature, a Steiner COA card and an additional COA from Steiner.
