On the front left tail is a “Nike” size “50” manufacturer’s tag. Attached below is a “LENGTH +4” flag tag. On the front right tail is a red strip that reads, “EASTERN CONFERENCE ALL-STAR”. On the left inseam is a materials tag with washing instructions and a “Nike 2001-02” year tag. On the left chest is an official “NBA” logo embroidered and on the right chest is a 9/11 memorial ribbon with an American flag. Across the chest reads, “WIZARDS”. The player number “23” appears on the front and on the back. These are done in blue on bronze on black triple tackle twill. Across the back reads the player name, “JORDAN” in blue on bronze tackle twill sewn directly onto the white mesh jersey. This jersey is properly tagged and was presented to us as a game-ready.
This shirt is being listed as game-ready jersey due to the rarity and lack of availability of these uniforms. Nike manufactured All-Star Game jerseys from 2002 are very limited and to the best of our knowledge, were never made available for public purchase. The name on back arc seen in the ASG differers slightly from Jordan's 2001-02 regular season jersey. It is possible that the different configuration is because the jerseys ordered for the ASG were produced as a set for the NBA, rather than each team. This shirt is not being listed as a game-used jersey. We do not believe that Jordan ever wore it. We were told by our consignor that this shirt originated directly from the locker room but no documentation stating such has been provided.
