This jersey was worn by St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Mark McGwire during the 1999 season in which he led the league in home runs (65) and RBI’s (147). On the inner front left tail is the “Rawlings” manufacturer’s tag with two flag tags reading size “52” and “SET 1 1999”. The jersey tail has been hemmed straight across. Across the front reads “Cardinals” embroidered in red, yellow and navy blue. Adjacent below and on back is the player number “25”. Across the back is the player name “MCGWIRE” on a white nameplate. All lettering and numbering is done in red on navy blue tackle twill. McGwire has signed the front of the jersey in black marker with the added inscription “STL 25”, in our opinion the signature rates a strong 8. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows light use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
