With the gentle humor and quiet dignity made famous by its star, "The Cosby Show" broke the mold of racial stereotyping on TV. Centering on a middle-class black family whose parents were a doctor and a lawyer, "Cosby" was the top-rated show on the tube from 1984-92. The cast that portrayed the Huxtable family signed this eggshell-white, mint-condition OAL Brown ball. Bill Cosby, an athlete at Temple and a huge sports fan, signed his name in vivid black marker, with the signature rating a near-10, joined by Phylicia Rashad, Lisa Bonet (who also wrote the words "Let Love Rule," the title of a song by her then-husband Lenny Kravitz), Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Tempestt Bledsoe, and and Keshia Pulliam. Signatures are in green, black or light blue ink and merit 8s and 9s.
