Were his arm just a littler stronger, Fidel Castro may have settled for overthrowing baseballs instead of governments. Castro, a onetime pitcher who's always said his first love is baseball, signed this ball for Washington Post writer Lionel Martin, the paper's Havana correspondent and author of the 1975 book "The Early Fidel." The Cuban dictator's scripted signature is in distinct blue pen, rating a strong 8. The ball is in good condition with a few scuff marks on an otherwise smooth surface. It comes with the jacket of Martin's book, on the back of which is a picture of Martin with Castro, as well as a recent photo of the two men in Havana.
