This is a set of seven baseballs in varying condition each signed by a NASA astronaut. There are three original Mercury astronauts of the early 1960s, John Glenn, Scott Carpenter, Deke Slayton and Wally Schirra, as well as Frank Borman, who flew the first manned lunar orbital mission. The others are Alan Bean, who made a moon-walk mission on Apollo XII in 1969, and Jake Garn, who as a U.S. Senator flew on the Discovery space shuttle in 1984. Glenn made history twice when at age 77 he flew aboard the Discovery, 36 years after his "Friendship 7"mission, the first orbital space flight. All of the signatures score in the 7 to 9 range and while the Glenn and Garn balls are toned and show wear, the other balls are snow white and in near mint condition.
