What do all athletes want but few have? The answer is clear. A ring, be it World Series, Super Bowl, or any other type, most clearly demonstrates victory and superiority, and this ring was given to Ed Kranepool for the Mets' victory in the 1973 National League Championship Series. The ring is made of 10K gold and a baseball made of 14 small diamonds is on the top of the ring. The ring reads "1973 N.Y. Mets N.L. Champions" around the top. On one shank is the Mets logo with "Kranepool" above it and "7" below it. On the other shank is an image of a stadium with a Mets hat and a scoreboard below it showing the scores of the NLCS games. The ring comes in its original wooden presentation box with an engraved plate on the top that says "Presented to Ed Kranepool by the Commissioner of Baseball." Kranepool commented that he has worn this ring fewer than ten times, testifying to its near mint to mint condition, and said that he prefers that it go to a fan who will enjoy it more. The ring is accompanied by his personal letter of authenticity.
