It was a nearly unanimous decision when the time came to vote Ken Griffey Jr. into the Hall of Fame, as he broke Tom Seaver’s record for receiving the highest percentage of votes with 99.32%. In 1998, Griffey Jr. hit a league-leading 56 home runs and 146 RBI and received both the Gold Glove Award and Silver Slugger awards. On the front left tail is a “RUSSELL ATHLETIC” size “46” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached below is a tag that reads, “100% POLYESTER” and a “1998” year tag. Across the chest reads, “MARINERS” in navy blue on northwest green on metallic silver triple tackle twill. Across the back reads the player name, “GRIFFEY” on a white nameplate and below is the player number “24”. These are done in navy blue on northwest green tackle twill. Griffey Jr. signed the jersey between the two player numbers in black pen and in our opinion, rates a 8 overall. On the right sleeve is a Russell Athletic logo embroidered and on the left sleeve is a “SEATTLE MARINERS” team logo disc patch embroidered. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows excellent use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA, a Griffey Jr. LOA and an additional LOA.
