In 1966 Felipe Alou earned one of his three All-Star nominations as a player, as he led the National League in hits, runs and total bases. Alou set career marks in batting average and home runs with .327 and 31 respectively, in addition to having 74 RBI. On the front left tail is a “Rawlings” size “42” manufacturer’s tag. Below is a tag with washing instructions. Inside on the rear collar is a felt strip tag with, “Alou 1966 1” embroidered on it. Across the chest reads, “Braves” and the player number “29” appears on both the front and on the back. All numbering and lettering are done in red on navy blue tackle twill sewn directly onto the grey flannel jersey. On the left sleeve is the team’s logo patch. Alou signed the jersey on the front right side of the jersey below the team name in black pen, and in our opinion rates a 7 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA and an additional LOA grading this shirt an A10.
