When Chicago pitcher Eddie Cicotte hit the first batter he faced in the 1919 World Series he signaled the start of one of the game's most notorious scandals. The 1919 World Series and the controversy that ensued changed the game forever. This stub is from Game 1 of the series and has an excellent appearance with a few light wrinkles and some light discoloration. The game took place in Cincinnati at Redland Field and was won by the Reds. This is a wonderful example of one of, if not the, most sought after stubs.
