Any signed Ruth ball is a coveted item but this beautiful toned, polished, red-and-blue-seamed ball is made still more rare by the "1926" the Babe appeared to write along with his name. This appears to date the ball as a survivor of the Babe's most potent decade, and as such is among earlier Ruth-signed collectibles. While some of what Ruth wrote on the ball (which is stamped with the words "Official League, guaranteed two games") has faded with time, the recipient of the ball can clearly be identified as "O'Malley," and the Babe's signature is clear and readable and rates a 3.
