The 1996-97 season was the middle championship of Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls second three-peat in the 1990s. It was one of 10 seasons where Jordan led the NBA in scoring, averaging 29.6 points per game to go along with 5.9 rebounds and 4.3 assists. Every time Jordan was in an NBA Finals he captured the Finals MVP award, and during the 1996-97 NBA Finals Jordan averaged 32.3 points, seven rebounds and six assists per game to capture his fifth NBA championship. Jordan was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame in 2009 for his individual accomplishments and again in 2010 for being a member of the 1992 Men’s Olympic Basketball “Dream Team”. On the front left tail is a “Champion” size “46” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Adjacent is another “Champion” tag that reads, “DESIGNED & TAILORED 96-97 EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHICAGO BULLS BODY LENGTH +3”. On the left inseam is a materials tag. On the left chest is the gold-colored official “NBA” logo embroidered. Across the chest reads, “BULLS”, the player number “23” appears on both the front and on the back and across the back reads the player name “JORDAN”. All numbering and lettering are done in black on white tackle twill sewn directly onto the red mesh jersey. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows appropriate use.
