Aside from providing entertainment at arenas across the country in the NBA, Michael Jordan has a profound impact on the basketball sneaker market. The six-time NBA champion and his line of Air Jordan sneakers helped carry on a legacy after his on-court career was over. Nike manufactured Air Jordan III sneakers. On the back of each sneaker reads, “NIKE AIR” in black. On the tongue of each sneaker is a Jumpman logo embroidered in red stitching. Jordan signed the outside of each sneaker in black pen with the added inscription, “3-11-88” and in our opinion, rates an 8 overall. Due to the rush nature of this autograph, lack of characteristics and subjectiveness on MJ autographs in general, JSA was uncomfortable forming an opinion. The bottom part of each sneaker is poor condition, with heavily crumbled padding that is detached from each sneaker. On 3/10/1988, Jordan had 38 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and three steals in a 128-107 win over the Los Angeles Lakers. These sneakers are properly tagged, were presented to us as game-used and in our opinion show excellent use. Accompanied by a game DVD (with box score printouts) and an LOA from Greg North, whose sister worked in the Bulls organization which states the shoes were signed the day after the game and were given to North as a birthday present.
