Gary Payton was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013. Payton was relentless on both ends of the floor, winning the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year award, making nine NBA All-Defensive First-Teams and being the Seattle SuperSonics franchise all-time leading scorer. On the front left tail is a Nike size “50” manufacturer’s tag with a “LENGTH + 4” flag tag attached below. On the left seam is a Nike “DRI FIT” tag. On the left inseam is a materials tag with washing instructions and a Nike “2003-04” year tag. On the left chest is the official “NBA” logo embroidered. Across the chest reads, “LAKERS”, the player number “20” appears on both the front and on the back and across the back reads the player name “PAYTON”. All numbering and lettering are done in purple on gold-colored tackle twill. Payton signed between the player name and numbers in black pen and in our opinion, rates a 7 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA and D.C. Sports.
