The cogwheel of Connie Mack's Philadelphia A's and later the Red Sox, Robert Moses "Lefty" Grove won exactly 300 games. He led the AL in strikeouts from 1925-31, in wins four times (including 31 in ‘31), in ERA a record nine times. Grove's signature is rare given that he was so popular (or illiterate, some say) that he sometimes used a rubber stamp to sign his autograph. This near-mint OAL Harridge ball has Grove's real signature in blue ink on the sweet spot, rating a strong 8.
