On 10/26/2010, the Los Angeles Lakers received their championship rings before the season opener against the Houston Rockets. In a 112-110 victory, Bryant scored 27 points with five rebounds and seven assists. On the front left tail is an “adidas” manufacturer’s tag that has “CLIMACOOL” and “SIZE 6XL” on it. Attached is a “LENGTH +4”” flag tag. Adjacent is the official NBA swatch that reads, “LLA00022”. On the left inseam is a size “6XL4” materials tag with washing instructions and a tag that reads, “07/10 P55190 AZB001”. Inside attached to the rear collar is a size “6XL4” tag. On the left chest is the official “NBA” logo embroidered and on the right chest is a Larry O’Brien trophy patch embroidered. Across the chest reads, “LAKERS” in purple tackle twill with a white-stitched border. The player number “24” appears on both the front and on the back in white mesh with a purple-stitched border on gold-colored tackle twill. Across the back reads the player name, “BRYANT” in purple on white tackle twill sewn directly onto the gold-colored jersey. Bryant signed the front player number “2” in black pen and in our opinion, rates a 6 overall. Inside on the rear waistline is an “adidas” manufacturer’s tag with “CLIMACOOL” and “SIZE 3XL” on it. The player number “24” is written on it in black pen and attached is a “LENGTH +2” flag tag. Attached to the manufacturer’s tag below is a size “3XL2” tag, a size “3XL2” materials tag with washing instructions and a tag that reads, “07/10 P55150 AZB001”. Near the right hip area is the official “NBA” logo embroidered and on each side of the shorts is the team’s “L” logo in gold, purple and white-colored stitching on purple tackle twill. We have yet to uncover a conclusive photomatch from available images. It is more than possible that Kobe wore more than one shirt that day. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a full JSA LOA and LOAs from D.C. Sports and Panini.

This lot is part of a family owned collection of some of the best Kobe Bryant memorabilia ever publicly auctioned. Every item is hobby fresh. The timing could not be more perfect, as the basketball world recently celebrated Bryant's final farewell season in the NBA. Bryant is one of the league's greatest players of all time and will be remembered for being one of the only players who could muster up a killer instinct akin to Michael Jordan. Bryant won five NBA championships, was a two-time NBA Finals MVP and was named the regular season MVP once. Bryant holds the record for the most consecutive All-Star Game appearances with 18 and was named to 15 All-NBA Teams. Bryant put in the work on both ends of the floor and was named to nine NBA All-Defensive First Teams. The two-time scoring champion is the Los Angeles Lakers all-time leading scorer and ranks third on both the league's all-time regular season scoring and all-time postseason scoring lists. Grey Flannel Auctions is honored to offer this lot of the soon-to-be Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee to our bidders.
