On the front left tail is a "SPALDING" manufacturers tag with a "SET 1 1962" flag tag attached adjacent. On the inside rear collar fold is a white felt strip tag with, "40 62 12" embroidered on it in blue chain-stitching. The white felt strip tag is not 100% affixed to the shirt. There are multiple player names crossed out above and adjacent to the white felt strip tag. Across the chest reads, "Mets" and the player number "12" appears on the back. All numbering and lettering are done in blue on orange felt. On the left sleeve is a "NEW YORK WORLD’S FAIR" patch embroidered. The jersey was originally worn in 1962 and was re-issued to Jesse Gonder in 1964, which was when the aforementioned patch was added. There are small holes throughout the shirt, most notably on the lower front, the back and right shoulder area and the felt numbering and lettering. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows tremendous game-use with extended organizational wear as issued to mutliple players.
