On the front left tail is a “SPALDING” manufacturer’s tag with a size “44” flag tag attached. Below is a tag with washing instructions with a flag tag attached that reads, “SET 1 1969”. Inside on the rear collar fold is a white felt strip tag with, “44 69 29” embroidered on it in blue chain-stitching. Across the chest reads, “Mets” and the player number “29” appears on both the front and on the back. All numbering and lettering are done in blue felt on orange tackle twill sewn directly onto the pinstripe flannel jersey. On the left sleeve is the team’s “Mets” logo disc patch embroidered. Period photography will establish that the team moved the Centennial sleeve patch from left to right for the World Series, installing a Mets team logo patch in its place. This jersey was prepared for the World Series. Bobby Johnson also wore No. 29 during the season. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
