The most reliable leadoff hitter of his era, Rickey Henderson was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2009 on the first ballot. A two-time World Series champion and American League MVP, Henderson led the AL in stolen bases 12 times and holds MLB records for stolen bases, career runs and career leadoff home runs. On the front left tail is a “RUSSELL ATHLETIC” size “44” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached below are two flag tags that read, “100% POLYESTER” and “-1” SLEEVE LENGTH” respectively. The tail is straight hemmed, personally done for Henderson. Across the chest reads, “NEW YORK”, the player number “24” appears on both the front and on the back and across the back reads the player name, “HENDERSON”. All numbering and lettering are done in blue on white on orange triple tackle twill. On the left sleeve is a “Mets” team logo disc patch embroidered and on the right sleeve is a Russell Athletic logo embroidered. Henderson signed the jersey between the back player number and the player name in silver pen and in our opinion, rates an 8 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA.
