The White Sox had flirted with the pennant before, but ‘59 was the year of the "Go-Go Sox." Relying on strong pitching, airtight defense and non-stop baserunning, the Sox featured no less than four future Hall of Famers: manager Al Lopez, 2B Nellie Fox, SS Luis Aparicio and P Early Wynn. They won 94 games to cop the AL flag, losing to the L.A. Dodgers in the World Series. The slightly toned ball is stamped "Chicago White Sox"and carries the signatures of 24 members of the Go-Gos including Lopez (SS), Fox, Aparicio, Wynn, Billy Pierce, Bob Shaw, Jim Rivera, Jim Landis, etc. The signatures rate solid 8s and 9s.
