Boog Powell is a two-time World Series champion, was named the American League MVP in 1970, appeared in four-straight All-Star games from 1968-71 and is a member of the Baltimore Orioles Hall of Fame. On the front left tail is a “SPALDING” manufacturer’s tag. Below is a tag with washing instructions with a flag tag attached that reads, “SET 1 1966”. On the inside below the rear collar is a white felt strip tag with “66 26 48” embroidered in navy blue chain-stitching. Across the chest reads “Baltimore”, the player number “26” appears on both the front and on the back and across the back reads the player name, “POWELL”, which has been expertly restored with period flannel letters. All numbering and lettering are done in orange on black felt sewn directly onto the grey flannel jersey. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use.
