Lot #103:

1949 Don White Philadelphia Athletics Game-Used Road Flannel Jersey (Rare)

On the inside of the right lower button path is a “Mitchell & Ness” distributor’s tag. Adjacent is a “MacGregor GoldSmith” manufacturer’s tag that reads, “SIZE 44”. Adjacent is a white felt swatch with “15” embroidered on it in black chain-stitching and attached to the button path is a tag that reads, “SET 1 1949”. On the left chest is the team’s “A” logo and on the back is the player number “55”. These are done in blue on white felt sewn directly onto the grey flannel jersey. The left player number “5” has gone under a team-issued number change and was originally a number “1”. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use.
