David Ortiz had a monster 2006 campaign, leading the American League in home runs with 54 and RBI with 137. The 54 home runs were a single-season franchise record for the Boston Red Sox. Ortiz has the most productive career for a designated hitter and is a three-time World Series champion. On the front left tail is a “Majestic” manufacturer's tag. Below is a white strip tag with, “34 54 06” embroidered on it in black stitching. On the left inseam is a materials tag with washing instruction, but it has been cut short. Across the chest reads, “BOSTON”, the player number “34” appears on the back and across the back reads the player name, “ORTIZ” on a grey nameplate. All numbering and lettering are done in red on navy blue tackle twill. On the rear collar is the official “MLB” logo embroidered. On the left sleeve is a Majestic logo embroidered. Ortiz signed in between the player numbers with an added inscription made out to 11-year MLB pitcher Felix Rodriguez, and in our opinion rates a 6 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA and Felix Rodriguez.
