First ballot Hall of Fame inductee Ozzie Smith, also known as “The Wizard”, was a 15-time All-Star, a World Series champion and has his No. 1 retired by the St. Louis Cardinals franchise. On the front left tail is a “Rawlings” size “36” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Adjacent is a red strip tag with, “1989 1” embroidered on it in white stitching. On the left chest is the team’s “STL” logo in white on navy blue tackle twill sewn directly onto the red mesh jersey. Smith signed the “STL” logo and the right chest chest with the added inscription, “Good Luck, Best Wishes!” and in our opinion rates a 7 overall. On the right sleeve reads, “Rawlings” in white stitching. A pair of “ROOS” manufactured red clears with white trim. Smith signed each cleat in black pen and in our opinion, rates a 7 overall. On the heel of each cleat reads, “OZ” written in black pen. “Franklin” manufactured red batting gloves. On each wrist, “OZ” is written in black pen. Two grey wristbands with an embroidered patch with “Ozzie Smith” on each in white stitching. These items are properly tagged, were presented to us as player-worn and in our opinion show appropriate use. Accompanied by three full JSA LOAs for the batting practice jersey and one for each cleat.
