Albert Pujols started his eventual Hall of Fame career with a bang, winning the National League Rookie of the Year in 2001. A two-time World Series champion and three-time NL MVP, Pujols is one of 27 players in the 500 Home Run Club. On the inside of the front left tail is a "Rawlings" manufacturers tag with washing instructions. Attached is a size "48" flag tag and a flag tag that reads, "SET 2 2001". Across the chest reads, “Cardinals” with the team’s two-bird logo in red, navy blue, white and yellow chain-stitching. On the front and on the back is the player number “5” and across the back reads the player name, “PUJOLS” on a white nameplate. These are done in red on navy blue tackle twill. On the rear collar is the official “MLB” logo embroidered. On the left sleeve is a Rawlings logo embroidered. This jersey is sans Pujols’ customary straight hemmed tail. Early Pujols examples entered hobby with full and straight cut tails and we believe this was worn during the transition period of the two styles. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows light use.
