In a 6-4 win over the Florida Marlins, Tony Gwynn notched hit No. 3,009 and 3,010 in his Hall of Fame career by swatting two home runs. “Mr. Padre” was an eight-time National League batting champion, which is tied for the most in NL history, has his No. 19 retired by the San Diego Padres franchise and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007 on the first ballot. On the front left tail is a “RUSSELL ATHLETIC” size “50” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. On this tag, “3009 and 3010” are written in black pen. Attached below is a flag tag that reads, “100% POLYESTER”. Across the chest reads, “PADRES” and the player number “19” appears on the back in blue on white tackle twill. The player number “19” appears on the front and across the back reads the player name, “GWYNN”. These are done in blue tackle twill sewn directly onto the white jersey. On the right sleeve is a Russell Athletic logo embroidered and on the left sleeve is an embroidered patch that reads, “1969 Padres NATIONAL LEAGUE 1999”. Gwynn signed the back player number “1” in silver pen and in our opinion, rates a 7 overall. There is staining on the left shoulder and there is a stain between the back player numbers. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA and two Gwynn COAs.
