On the inside of the front right bottom button path is a tag that reads, “SET 1 1959”. On the inside of the rear collar fold is a “MacGregor” size “46” manufacturer’s tag. Across the chest reads, “PIRATES” and on the back is the player number “17”. These are done in black on yellow felt lettering sewn directly onto the grey flannel vest. Some parts of the lettering in “PIRATES” are not 100% affixed to the jersey. Clendenon signed the right chest in blue pen and in our opinion, rates a 7 overall. This jersey was presented to Clendenon, where he confirmed use as his own and penned the autograph. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA.
