A winner of five American League batting titles and a World Series champion, Wade Boggs was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2005 on the first ballot. On the front left tail is a “RUSSELL ATHLETIC” size “48” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached below is a flag tag that reads, “100% POLYESTER”. On the inside button path, only one of the two Velcro strips are present. Across the chest reads, “DEVIL RAYS” in a fading teal-to-green-to-yellow tackle twill on purple tackle twill on white tackle twill. On the back is the player number “12” and across the back reads the player name, “BOGGS” on a white nameplate. These are done in purple on white on black triple tackle twill. On the left sleeve is an embroidered patch that reads, “DEVIL RAYS INAUGURAL SEASON 1998” and on the right sleeve is a Russell Athletic logo embroidered. Boggs signed the back and the front in black pen and in our opinion, rates a 7 overall. This jersey was once framed, as signs of mounting pinholes are evident throughout. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA.
