The player with the sweetest swing in sports was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2016 on the first ballot. Ken Griffey Jr. won one of his 10 consecutive Gold Glove Awards for the 1995 season, has his No. 24 retired by the Seattle Mariners franchise and was named to the MLB’s All-Century Team. On the front left tail is a “RUSSELL ATHLETIC” size “46” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached below is a flag tag that reads, “100% POLYESTER”. Below is a strip tag with the year “95” printed on it. Across the chest reads, “MARINERS” in navy blue on northwest green on metallic silver triple tackle twill. On the back is the player number “24” and across the back reads the player name, “GRIFFEY” on a white nameplate. These are done in navy blue on northwest green tackle twill. Griffey Jr. signed in between the player numbers in blue pen and in our opinion, rates a 7 overall. On the right sleeve is a “THE NEGRO LEAGUE’S 75TH COMMEMORATIVE YEAR” patch embroidered and below is a Russell Athletic logo embroidered. On the left sleeve is a “SEATTLE MARINERS” team logo disc patch embroidered. Inside on the rear waistband is a “RUSSELL ATHLETIC” size “34” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached adjacent is a flag tag that reads, “100% POLYESTER” and a strip tag that is heavily faded. The player name, “GRIFFEY” can be made out on the tag, but the string of numbers below is difficult to make out. Above the left pocket is a Russell Athletic logo embroidered. There are major repairs on the left pant leg, including on the thigh area and knee area. At the bottom of each pant leg is a built-in stirrup. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. The pants exhibit outstanding use. Accompanied by a Full LOA from JSA and two additional LOAs.
