In 1970, Alex Johnson captured the American League batting crown by hitting .329 for the season. On the front left tail is a tag with washing instructions that has a size “46” flag tag attached adjacent. Adjacent to that is a tag that reads, “SET 1 #8P 1970”. Above these tags, “Johnson”, “46” and “70” are embroidered in green stitching. On the inside of the rear collar is a “SPALDING” manufacturer’s tag. Across the chest reads, “ANGELS” and the player number “17” appears on the back. All numbering and lettering are done in red felt on navy blue tackle twill sewn directly onto the cream-colored flannel jersey. The name on the back has been removed. On the left sleeve is the team’s state of California logo patch embroidered. This jersey is in fantastic all-around condition. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use.
