Ken Griffey Jr. was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2016, receiving a record 99.32% of the vote. Baseball fans were attracted to Griffey Jr.’s playing style and clothing style, capturing a kid’s mentality while wearing his backwards cap and stylish cleats. Offered is a pair of Nike manufactured white cleats with black trim. There are Nike logos on the toe area, on the heel and on the tongue of each cleat. The player number “24” and “NIKE” appears on the strap across the ankle area. The most distinguishing feature of these cleats is the bottom white pattern that was filled in with black marker, presumably by Griffey Jr. There is an apparent Photo-Match of Griffey Jr. hitting career home run No. 208 on June 4th, 1996, which shows the unique characteristic of the filled in white area. There is not enough definition to call it an exact match. Griffey Jr. signed the side of each cleat in a blue pen and in our opinion, rates a 6 overall. Each cleat has a JSA sticker on it. These cleats are properly tagged, were presented to us as game-used and in our opinion show appropriate wear. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA and a Mill Creek COA.
