In their second year of existence, the 1963 Mets won 11 more games than the year before. Of course, that meant they still lost 111 games, but the hordes of Met fans who packed the Polo Grounds weren't counting, or lost track, having too much fun watching Casey Stengel's "Amazins" botch grounders and strand runners in bunches. This lightly toned ONL Giles ball commemorates the fun and follies of the ‘63 team, 30 members of which signed it including Stengel (SS), Gil Hodges, Ed Kranepool, Frank Thomas, Choo Choo Coleman, Jay Hook, Al Jackson, etc. There is only minor staining on the surface and the signatures rate from 7 to 9.
