Johnny Bench was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1989 on the first ballot. One of the best hitting catchers of all time, Bench is a two-time World Series champion and two-time National League MVP. Manuf: H&B, Model Number: B278, Length: 35 in., Weight: 32.9 oz., Wood: Ash, Labeling Period: 1981-82, Condition: Uncracked. Player number “5” is written on the knob in black marker. Ball/hit marks are present on the back barrel. Black ball transfer marks are present on the back barrel. The bat exhibits evidence of good game-use. Bench signed the front barrel in black pen with the added inscription, “82 Gamer” and in our opinion, rates a 7-8 overall. This bat was presented to us as game-used and shows light use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA and PSA/DNA grading the bat a 7.
